02. Bay Creek Skate Park

The Bay Creek skatepark is a small part of the 154-acre park named Bay Creek Park and was opened in mid-2009.

This park has seven baseball fields, two playgrounds for children, and two outdoor basketball fields. Moreover, a lighted skatepark complex and four lighted tennis ball courts are also present there.

03. Brook Run Skate Park

Brook Run Skate Park was opened on July 28, 2007. This is a skatepark of 27000 square feet. Originally, this park was operated and owned by Dekalb County. But from July 29, 2010, Dunwoody has owned this skatepark.

The park is designed for both entry-level and experienced skaters. So, you can try this park without fearing your skill level.

This park has an area of almost 8000 square feet. However, there is no lighting facility in the skating areas. Thus, skating hours are limited from sunrise to sunset.

DeShong Skate Park provides a winding and twisting streetscape. So, it will be harder and risky for newbie skaters. Therefore, I suggest trying this skate complex only if you are confident enough about your skills.

05. Duncan Creek Park

Duncan Creek Park’s skating complex is the largest skatepark in Gwinnett County. This park is 20,000 square feet and was designed and built by Wally Hollyday in 2008.

There are also four lighted basketball courts and 3 lighted sand volleyball courts. You will also find a playground with handicap-accessible features. Moreover, a multi-purpose field with a lighted track is also available.

Fowler Park first opened its doors on February 25, 2011. This is a residential park of 30,000 square feet. There are also special hours for youngsters aged 12 and under, from 4 to 6 in the evening.

07. Glenloch Recreation Complex Skatepark

The Glenloch Complex was previously 3510 square feet with an asphalt foundation, which is presently a 4050 square feet park. This park is ideal for skaters of all abilities and ages. It offers a first-rate and environmentally friendly design. Overall, it’s a fantastic skatepark.

The Hapeville Skatepark was recently finished in 2020 and is relatively new. This park has a concrete back and is the fourth street-focused park. It is an excellent destination for those who enjoy skating pools.

There is also a multi-purpose playground, softball field, and baseball field. You may hire the grounds for the night along with a lamp. However, you must factor in an extra price for this. This park is suitable for individuals of all ages.

10. J.B. Williams Park

Among the eight skate parks in Gwinnett County, this one is our favorite. Not because it is the best one in terms of features but because it is part of a complex that caters to a lot of things besides skating.

It is part of a master plan which also includes a dog park, pony field, and playground for kids, along with a pavilion. You also have a central plaza, restrooms, and a concession area. And the locals are well aware that the pond beside the complex is great for ice skating in winter.

This park is 40,000 square feet. Can you imagine how large it is? This park is the first-ever skatepark designed on the model of a competitive street skate park plaza.

Kennesaw Skatepark is a replica of a professional-style Street skating facility. That means all the elements and obstacles are the same as the pros skate in any street skating competition. Hence, skaters ages below 15 must have to wear helmets for safety.

12. Master Park (John R. Lewis Memorial Park)

The master park was completed in 2020. This park links the Tom Morris Sports Complex, the Hapeville Library, and the Hapeville Elementary School. In August 2020, this park was renamed John R. Lewis Memorial Park after the renowned congressman.

There is a tennis court, a baseball field, a skate park, and a dog park in this area, where small and big dogs have separate enclosures. This park is also a playground for youngsters.

However, the skating rink is relatively tiny and only has minimum facilities. Nonetheless, it is a wonderful choice for children and beginners.

It is the perfect skate park for street skaters. This park is also pretty fun for BMX. If you are a beginner and want to learn how to skate, Mckoy Skatepark is suitable for you.

It was built in 2020 and is relatively very small. This park has a picnic Pavillion, dog station, playground area, basketball court, adult fitness equipment, and walking trail. However, the skatepark is located in the parking area.

14. Mountain Park Park

The park has 8,000 square feet of a skating complex. This skate complex is made of concrete. Specifically, this Skatepark is a bowl-type of Atnalta Skatepark. Despite its heavy transition, it can be comfortably used.

Likewise, this park is bike, skate, and dog-friendly. There are also 3 kids’ playgrounds.

Moreover, you will also find seven baseball fields, six lighted tennis courts, a pavilion, 1 mile paved multi-purpose trail, and a grill. Numerous restrooms are there for public use as well.

15. Pinckneyville Park

This is a lovely park for get-together events or any family reunion. This park is divided into two portions. One is the community center side, and another is the soccer complex portion. This section is connected by a paved path where you can walk or jog.

Accordingly, this park has a pond and dog run with many ball fields. Pinckneyville Park has a free skate area and a roller hockey rink.

Riverdale Skatepark has a 7,000-square-foot skating area.  In 2017, this park was designed and built by  Spohn Ranch.
