02. Braden Aboud Skatepark

Braden Aboud Skatepark is another of the outdoor skateparks El Paso offers. This is situated in the  Braden Aboud Memorial Park, Roxbury. It’s run by the Braden Aboud Memorial Foundation.

03. Carolina Skatepark

Founded in 2003, this skatepark is El Paso’s first “concrete” skatepark.  Site Design Group’s Mike McIntyre and Colby Carter drafted the 23,143-square-foot layouts. An estimated $625-thousand Community Development Block Grant funded this project.

This park is perfect for beginners learning how to carve, roll down banks, and carve. Moreover, the terrains of this park are diversified.

Flow courses and 10′ deep bowls make for perfect transition riding. Located on the other half of the skate park, the street section has quarter pipes, pyramids, bank ramps, ledges, and handrails.

The El Paso parks department maintains Dick Shinaut Park. In September 2002, it became the first of El Paso skateparks. Besides offering outdoor recreation, it also preserves nature.

05. El Paso Green Bowl Skate Park

This is another outdoor skatepark located on Van Buren Ave, El Paso. It is a canal-based water reservoir built by the city of El Paso that has secondary uses as a skate park.

06. Mountain View Skate Park (“Diana Park”)

The Mountain View Skatepark encompasses 15,000 square feet. Skating after dark is safe in this well-lit area. A variety of terrain was available to local skaters when the park opened in 2003. The flow ranges from a large 10′ deep bowl to an open-ended section.

The custom concrete pitch is right beside Magoffin Middle School and has a 10-foot-deep triple pool, a big flow bowl, a wraparound street course, and lights. Funding for Grindline was $1 million from the Community Development Block Grant for this park.

Other features include winding transition, rad bowls, and some unique features such as vert step-up and curvy ledges.

A concrete skatepark, Northeast Regional Skatepark has something for everyone, whether you are a novice or a seasoned skater. It is highly recommended that you visit this 25,000-square-foot skatepark.

It’s a regional-sized park and was originally designed for events and competitions. California Skateparks built this as the first project from an initiative to establish quality-of-life bonds that began in 2012.

Veteran‘s Park skatepark has a small area. At this outdoor park, Exerplay Inc. has installed Skatewave modular metal ramp equipment that is located on unused tennis courts in Northeast El Paso. It features a bank, funbox, and flat rail.

10. Ysleta Skatepark

An important aspect of the Ysleta skatepark is that it is a small back-and-forth park constructed of concrete. An aspect of the Skatepark Project has contributed to the funding of this skatepark since 2005.
